How it works

From search to sea in three steps

No mystery, no pressure: here is exactly what happens between 'we should do a sailing trip' and casting off — including who pays what, and when.

1

Search & shortlist

Use the live search, or simply tell us dates, group and budget. Within 24 hours a broker sends a shortlist of three to five boats that genuinely fit — with honest notes, not brochure talk. Every price is the fleet's official one; compare freely with any other site.

2

Book with confidence

Found the one? We place a free option that holds the boat — typically for up to 7 days — while you gather your crew. To confirm, you sign the charter contract and pay a 50% deposit; the balance follows 4–6 weeks before departure. Add a captain, provisioning or transfers in the same step.

3

Step aboard

Before you fly you'll have the crew list filed, route notes for your area, and a checklist of what to bring. At the marina: technical check-in, security deposit blocked on a card, briefing — and the holiday starts on day one, not day three.

What's in the boat price — and what isn't

Fleets price boats the same way airlines price seats: the boat itself plus essentials, with situational extras itemised. We show you the full picture before you commit — no check-in surprises.

Included in the charter price

  • The yacht with standard equipment & dinghy
  • Basic hull & third-party insurance
  • Berth at the home marina (first & last night)
  • Standard navigation equipment & safety gear
  • Fleet support during your charter

Typical extras (itemised up front)

  • End cleaning (fixed, €150–350 by boat size)
  • Skipper (from €180/day) / hostess if requested
  • Fuel used, marina fees & buoys en route
  • Tourist tax where applicable
  • Provisioning, transfers, extra equipment (SUP, gennaker…)

Payments & the security deposit, plainly

1

Free option

We hold your chosen boat with the fleet — usually up to 7 days — at no cost and no obligation while you decide.

2

50% deposit

Confirms the booking, with the charter contract signed. Paid by bank transfer per contract; card payments are coming soon.

3

Balance 4–6 weeks before departure

The remaining 50%, plus any pre-booked extras. After this you receive boarding documents and check-in instructions.

4

Security deposit at check-in

A refundable amount (set per boat, e.g. €1,500–3,500) blocked on a credit card at the marina and released after a clean check-out. Deposit-insurance options exist for most fleets — we'll quote one if you prefer certainty.
